Happy 1-Year Muttiversary to Maverick (fka Stonewall)
A year ago today Mav joined our lil’ family for a special car ride from his SF foster home to his new Reno forever home. In the past year he’s got to go camping at Benton Hot Springs, play down by the Truckee River, hike many a trail, frolic in the Tahoe snow with his foster family, run on the CA beaches, dress up for celebrations, cozy up with his older sister Peanut, and eat lots and lots and lots of treats – his most fav!!
Mav loves to play with the big pups at the dog park and is friendly to all the humans he meets, with tail wagging. He and Peanut soak up the rising sun daily, always look forward to their morning and afternoon walks followed by a healthy meal, and are ready for their next fun adventure!
Mav is very much at home and is such a happy lil’ guy. We are looking forward to many more years of adventures to come :)

5-month update | 12.16.25
We celebrated Maverick’s 5-month Muttiversary this past weekend with a local hike up the ridge with their lil’ cousin, Birdie. Mav is doing really well, lots and lots of energy for our daily walks, and hikes now that it’s cooler. He LOVES to bask in the sunshine, just like his sister! He’s been getting more snuggly, and just recently started rolling over for belly scratches and being comfortable with butt scratches too – this is a huge step for him!!! He even spent a week at Birdie’s home with Peanut while I went out of town for a training and did great :)

2-month update | 9.18.25
Happy 2-month Mutt-versary to Maverick!! He’s settling in really well, bonding with Peanut, enjoying his new adventurous life :) The past month we’ve paddle boarded, hiked, swam, danced, played with new friends, backyard camped, and of course snuggled up!!

One-week update | 7.31.25
Maverick (fka Stonewall) is settling in really well. He’s starting to trust he’s now in is his forever home – enjoying his thrice daily walks, basking in the sun, and snuggling up.
We all went camping for a night last weekend at Benton Hot Springs and he did great, traveled like a pro! We’re so happy to have him here with us.
