Two years ago this weekend we brought home a darling dachshund that had been picked up as a stray in Sac following the Fourth of July. She has no teeth, can barely see, doesn’t hear, but can follow her nose to the kitchen in a heartbeat! She learned quickly to follow her new big sister Chai’s lead & the two of them developed a great bond with Chai always looking out for her. She has a favorite place in the sun at the front door where she can observe movement on the street & sound the alarm that someone is passing…A typical doxie trait.
We are so thankful to have adopted Sasha through the Seniors for Seniors program that offers so many of us the opportunity to share our love & time.
