Butter

Butter

I wanted to let you know that Butter (aka Stutter), our sweet and beloved senior Pomeranian from Muttville, passed away peacefully in my arms a few weeks ago.

I’m sure you see lots of dogs—Butter was in your hospice program, and we adopted him in October. His prior owners had dropped him off in a kill shelter in San Jose, declaring him “too old,” but thank goodness you guys scooped him up.

My sons, my husband and I all adored Butter, and we did all we could to make his every day a good one. I work at home, and also have an 8-year-old bichon, so he pretty much got constant cuddles. He also really loved to walk—his arthritis and other issues didn’t stop him.

Butter affected me deeply with his willingness to trust and heal. He knew he was Butter Goldberg, that he belonged and that he was loved. He was perfect in every way. We miss him tremendously.

I’m so grateful to Muttville for giving him the second chance he so deeply deserved, and that we got to have him for the time we did. Thank you for the amazing work you do.

Warmest regards,
Kathryn
