Hazel

We LOVE Hazel!!! Hazel is the most amazing little girl in the world! When we found her at Muttville, her fantastic foster (who we still send pictures to!), was so kind and communicative with us. We met with Hazel at Muttville, and wanted nothing more than to get her to her new home. Hazel was very overweight, 19+ pounds, and was very lethargic, no energy, didn’t like to go on walks, was afraid of just about anything and everything. We put her on a diet, made her walk with us 2-3 times a day (yes “made”, she didn’t want to walk!) and we had to take slow short walks at first as she was winded. We have no idea who had Hazel her entire life, but she was found as a stray and thank our lucky stars, Muttville got her out of a shelter and took her in. She didn’t even know how to play (ran from toys). Here we are two years later, and Hazel RUNS, plays, jumps up on the sofa on her own, she is now 14.5 pounds, and is an ENTIRELY different dog. I cry writing this, because I love her so much. Thank you Muttville, for Hazel, she is our heart and soul.

She is with my dad in that last picture. When he came to visit a few months after we got her, she hid under the bed from him. This picture was a few months ago.
