Rudy was adopted in 2009 and is still going strong! Mom Patricia gives us this wonderful update:
Rudy Nureyev Jr. is about 16 years old now and a lot has happened since 2009 when Muttville rescued him. For several years Rudy was the “gallery dog” at the Frank Bette Center for the Arts in Alameda. After I stopped working there I sensed he was bored so I took him to classes and he passed his Canine Good Citizen Test with flying colors. He’s a really smart dog as well as a sweet, quiet, lap dog. His most favorite thing is being picked up and carried around. He sinks into your arms and rests his head on your shoulder. After passing his test he got a weekly gig at a local nursing home. With Rudy in their lap some of the patients, who appeared almost catatonic, would come alive. He also modeled a tux in a fashion show. I couldn’t have a more perfect dog and he has brought such joy to not just me but hundreds of others coming into the art center and at the nursing home. Thank you for saving him for me.
With Gratitude,
Patricia
