When we got this update about sweetheart boy, Joker, now named Rooster, we were overjoyed! We hope this brings a smile to your heart too:
Wanted to send along an update on Joker (we’ve renamed him Rooster and he’s responding really eagerly and well to it.)
All I can say is that I can’t believe it’s only been a week. He’s become such an integral and welcome presence in our lives, it’s hard to remember what it was like before he was home.
Our children, especially our daughter Charlie, have become immediately smitten with him and he is so gentle and tolerant and loving with them. It really is quite amazing.
He’s such a lovely dog. Eating well. Sleeping well. Great on walks. We’re still working on stairs. Sometimes he seems up for it, other times I just carry him up.
So a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.
I wish I had a picture of all us, but the universal rule about small kids and dogs never standing still at the same time has been in effect since he got home.
Thank you again,
Ryan, Aria, Charlie, Jun and Roo
PS: Any fears we had about his aloof nature have disappeared already. His whineosauraus greetings are pretty epic as are his hugs. He’s incredibly strong for a tripaw!
