We are so grateful for you and everything you’ve done and continue to do for senior pups. We adopted Rhubarb (fka Hershel) two years ago in February of 2024.
We quickly fell in love with his gentle soul and unique quirks (obsession with cars, love for stuffies, licking feet) and he was everything we didn’t know we needed. In January of 2025 he was diagnosed with lymphoma. We were so devastated, he was fully integrated into our lives and the center of our world. After 7 months of chemotherapy at Sage Hospital around the corner from muttvile, Ruby achieved remission!!
He has now been in remission for eight months. We knew we could give him more than we were in our small Mission apartment, so shortly after the end of his treatment we moved to Colorado and bought a house with a big backyard.
Rhubarb spends his days chasing bunnies, watching the sunrise from the porch, and sunbathing under the apple tree. He does bi-weekly rehab treatments which include hot stone massages, acupuncture, water treadmill, and agility course to gain back the lost muscle and ease his arthritis.
He’s our special boy and I could not believe I lived a life without him! Thank you Muttville for giving us the gift of family.
