This pretty girl ! Just another day of stalking the Muttville newbies and I spotted Princess’ (fka Pixie Stix) cute little face.
It was just before Christmas and what better gift than to adopt another toothless senior pup? When we first got Princess, her skin was dry and flaky and her fur was so thin. In the sun the fur she did have left was almost red…fast forward almost six months later and she has thick, soft and very black fur along with a few added pounds ;)
This little girl is the total definition of a princess! She spends her days in her crown bed on the couch watching everyone, then comes down from her throne to eat…but not before passing all the food dishes to be sure there isn’t something better somewhere else for her (as if fresh chicken and rice wasn’t good enough ;)) Once she’s scooped it out, she makes sure to take a bite from everyone’s dish. Then she awaits her heated disk and goes back to her throne to rule the house!
But really this cutie is very independent and sassy. Out of our whole crew of pups, she prefers not to join us in our bed at night but to be set in her own little pin with a big dog bed, the softest blankets and both of her heat blocks. She will snooze all night until early afternoon the next day in there, cozy and warm with a full belly from dinner. It’s the sweetest thing how cozy she gets.
You can tell she looks forward to her nightly routine and is the most comfortable in her own spot. Princess is just not the cuddle type. She seems to prefer men over women and will be sassy and let you know if she doesn’t think you’re worthy enough to pet her. Still, every morning when she decides she’s ready to get up, the first thing we do is make a stop at the mirror to let her know what a pretty girl she is. She loves being pampered with baths and nail trims. I’m telling you…a total princess!
She does have her moments when she wants to snuggle one of the boys in the crew or hang with the only other girl pup in the house. Catching her snuggling with the other pups is my favorite. As princess as she is, she’s the first dog I’ve ever heard loudly fart (lol it’s so funny). Don’t tell her I told you guys. It might ruin her princess rep.
She’s just a funny, spicy little pup that brings a bit of sass and spunk to the crew. We love this little girl so much and enjoy her princess attitude.
