Where do I begin when I have so many things I want to say!

We’ve had Earl for only nine months but it feels like we’ve always had him.
I learned about Muttville from my mom-whose dream when she can is to adopt from here. She’d send me available dogs on the daily.
I already had one toothless chihuahua Sydney (12) and wasn’t looking for another at the time, but this day was different. She sent me a photo of Earl (fka Wee Bey) and I fell in love! I reached out to Muttville, and by the next day we had a FaceTime call scheduled with him and his foster mom, since this was in the middle of Muttville moving to their new forever home.
I already knew I wanted him and within a day or two we were headed down to pick up old man Earl!
I wasn’t sure how Sydney was going to take it, but just like her mama it was love at first sight. When Sydney was a puppy she was always part of a pack. While I was at work, she was with my mom’s pups. After the last one of my moms passed (sweet mini), I realized it had been four years since she had a buddy and I had no idea how much she was missing it. Earl added an extra pep in her step and has her smiling her toothless smile all the time! Her “riding-in-the -car anxiety” instantly cured with her buddy Earl by her side.
Earl loves to be close and always know where I am at all times BUT you’re only allowed to touch him when he nudges you and says it’s ok. Otherwise we just enjoy his closeness and it’s a bonus if we are allowed to pet him. We joke and call him Earl Button because I swear he’s been aging backwards like Benjamin Button lol.
My heart grew so much bigger when Earl joined our family. He’s perfect! He was just the start of my Muttville obsession. I will forever share to anyone and everyone about Muttville! Adopting a senior pup is so special and changes your life…in all the best ways. Earl is so special and we are so grateful he came into our lives.
