What a difference one year makes!
I picked up the queen now known as Koko Von Sweetpea (fka Pecan Shortee) from her foster in Palo Alto on March 2, 2024. She was sweet as sugar; also medically complex, easily overwhelmed, and unfamiliar with toys and stairs.
One year later: she loves to meet other dogs, her health is well managed, she runs up stairs, and even played with her first toy tonight!
Thanks for all you do to bring seniors and humans together. It’s important work, and I love her to bits.
