On Sept. 2, 2020, Sugar cautiously enters her foster home. We fell in love. Two days later it was her FOREVER HOME!
Imagine how much courage it took for this sweet little girl to walk into an unknown place, after what she had been through.
That morning she was picked up at a shelter in Stockton, driven to Muttville, where she was poked and prodded by strangers and then handed over to more strangers at 4:00. Then she was driven to San Rafael and brought into an alien space.
Obviously, she was not a “street dog”, so she had been with guardians – for whom she might have been grieving.
But her wolf ancestry gave her the amazing survival instincts to quickly recognize a good thing when it was offered.
We love when it rains particularly because she looks so precious in her raincoat!
We often wonder who is the luckiest in this scenario – Sugar or us, her chosen family.
