Hi!
I hope there are still volunteers there who remember a tiny, diabetic, blind Min Pin named Winky from just over a year ago.
I adopted Winky in April 2021, and she came home with me on May 1, 2021. I renamed her Winnie. Adopting her is the best decision I have ever made.
We are very bonded, and make a great team. Over the months we have learned how to communicate with each other, and it astonishes me how intelligent and cooperative she is. Managing her diabetes and her leash-reactivity (barking & lunging at other dogs & sometimes people) has been challenging, but those things pale in comparison to the joy & love she brings.
We live in the Mission District, not far from Muttville. We walk a lot and occasionally take a bus.
Thank you so much, Muttville staff & volunteers, for rescuing Winnie, taking care of her, fostering her, and finally, bringing her to me!
