On July 6, 2019, I adopted Ben Affleck, one of Muttville’s Boston Tea party dogs. I had tried to adopt several Bostons from Muttville but because I live in the east bay, they were always gone before I could meet them. On that particular Saturday, I had come to SF to meet another Boston but he was adopted before I could even arrive at the agency. I did know that another Boston, Ben Affleck was due to arrive, so I waited a bit for him to get there. Upon arrival, Ben came with his foster parents, circled the room and stood up next to me to be put in my lap. That one action created the quote from my older sister that we OFTEN laugh about because it sums up my love at first sight moment, “it’s a wrap, get the papers!”
Ben, now Benito, came to me weighing almost 13lbs. I adopted him after the death of my sweet Boston Franklin 3 weeks prior. Benni is now 20 lbs, healthy, insured, with a nice backyard, and living with his two “bros” Corrado and Bogdan. Thank you Muttville for sending Benni to rescue me.
