Dear Muttville Family,
We adopted little Simone January 2018 and she’s transformed our lives and melted our hearts forever! She has such a sweet and tender personality and is also so adorably goofy too! For instance, when we get home, she races to the door to greet us, taps her two front little paws (like tap dancing!) and then wiggles her body repeatedly, all while wagging her little tail! This has earned her the nickname “Miss Wiggles” and “Wiggly Wiggly.” Other nicknames include “Little Miss Piggy” since she lets out a gentle “oink” when she’s really relaxed.
While initially shy, she has become very affectionate and snuggles up close to her trusted humans. She also does a really cute/funny thing of kerplunking over on her side when you start petting her, as if to invite us to rub her side and belly. She does have super soft and fluffy hair after all (and she gets great bed head!). According to her genetic test, she’s part Shih Tzu, part Chihuahua, and part Dachshund—a ChiWeeTzu! (Like ChiWeenie plus Shih Tzu!) Other endearing things about Simone are her little growl which she often expresses when she’s happy and getting rubbed and the fact that she likes singing with us. In fact, when we hit certain high notes, she will bark a long howl right along with us.
She apparently was found wandering the streets of Fresno before she was taken to a shelter and then eventually to Muttville. We are forever grateful that she found her way into our lives! We love her more than words can say and are so grateful to Muttville for bringing us together!
Photos above include one from her “Wedding Day” when she married a cockapoo named Rudy. The two of them actually walked down the aisle together (during our sister-in-law’s wedding), and it was certainly a day to remember! Truly woof-tacular!
With gratitude,
Janice, Stephanie, and Josh
