In memoriam from Lulu’s (formerly known as Catelyn) family:

I’ve never felt such unconditional love for a little ball of fur (until you and Cleo)

We knew from the very beginning, when we adopted you that our time shared was going to be limited. But my dear Lulu, you were what we needed. In a perfect world we would’ve met you much, much sooner. We would’ve loved you as soon as you came into the world if we could. But it’s not up to us to decide when or how we meet each other. We could only be grateful that we did. We wanted to protect you, give you excess of everything. Toys, beds, treats and behind-the-ear rubs. And for the almost two years you gave us, We’re happy to say we were able to do that.

The love we wanted you to have in your golden years was the kind that you should have had for your life’s entirety. We hope you know it’s the same selfless love that understands when love alone cannot keep you here.

We love you more than you’ll ever know, my little shadow, my bed hog, my 7 pounds of sunshine. You’ve left this earth with a part of our hearts and your dad, sister and me will miss you everyday until we meet again. Safe travels over the rainbow bridge, baby mine.

Meet Catelyn, Muttville’s newest little sweetheart!

Catelyn comes to us from LA, ready to find a forever person that will love her and keep her safe in her retirement years. This darling girl is a friendly pup, who gets along well with other dogs. She is a delightful lady who waddles on over to greet you, and loves being pet. Catelyn would love a forever home with a doting forever friend that she can cuddle up with in her retirement years.

Here’s what Catelyn’s foster has to say about her:
Catelyn is young at heart! She’s little but she’s the boss She ‘s also extremely smart, she understands English so talk to her! Catelyn loves to walk, loves to play, loves food & toys. She is attentive to her person & wants to be by your side day & night. She can sleep all day but loves to play! She loves her walks too, only needs about 15-30 minutes & she is content. She’s harmless, so it’s more for her safety not to let her boss around other dogs. Since she’s smart, she will cry or whine when she wants to be picked up or if left alone. After just a few days though she stopped whining to be picked up & I can leave her home alone no problem. Catelyn is housebroken but should be let out often – she will let you know when she needs to go out. Catelyn is absolutely adorable when you come home, she is so excited to see you. She also loves to play! She prances and bows and it’s just too cute. And I urge whoever adopts her to recognize her extreme intelligence!
