Ace

Ace

In July of 2012, our family adopted a pair of large dogs from Muttville, Ace and Krypto. Nobody knew their background or exact ages, but they were clearly good friends. They were loving, wonderful dogs, although they both had their streaks of troublemaking – like turning over the garbage can, spreading flour across the floor, and eating things they shouldn’t. Ace was a bit of a hunter, bagging the occasional squirrel and possum in our yard, and even once a raccoon. Krypto sadly passed away three years ago, but Ace soldiered on as a well-loved single dog, integral to our family. While he grew increasingly lame, and eventually deaf, he never stopped loving a good snack and a walk. Ace passed away on January 31st, 2019. We were so incredibly fortunate to have him in our lives for 6 1/2 years – far longer than we had the right to expect when we adopted “old” dogs! We love and will miss you, Ace, and you will never be forgotten.
