Edna (formerly Mrs. Garrett)

Edna (formerly Mrs. Garrett)

Edna (Formerly Mrs. Garrett) was the missing piece to our family that we didn’t know we needed. When I first visited Muttville in August 2018, I had a hard time choosing which fur baby I was going to bring home. And then I met Edna. She was the only pup who wanted to sit on my lap and wanted my boyfriend to hold her like a baby. She’s so adventurous, that when we decided to adopt her, she wasn’t scared, she had a look of excitement in her eyes. She was very quick to trust the process and ready to come home. While Edna was shy at first, she quickly became friends with my other two dogs Emma and Patty. Not too long after bringing her home, she started to show so much affection towards me. Her favorite things are sneak attack kisses, long cuddles and treats. When I come home from a day at work, she is the first one at the door, with her sisters close behind, waiting to give me all the loves. It really didn’t take much time at all for her to fit in with our girl gang. I can’t even imagine what life was like before her now. While I may have less room on my bed at night, I have more love, snuggles and kisses which makes up for it. I hope Edna’s story can help those who might be unsure about adopting a senior dog to not be afraid. Adopting Edna was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. If you’re considering adopting from Muttville, please do. It doesn’t matter what age they are, a dogs love is unconditional and Edna is living proof of that.
