When you adopt a senior pet, many know that time may be short..but so worth it. Hilary and Sierra valued every day together. We’re touched by their story:
I had to gently let go of my beloved “Sierra” (originally brought into Muttville as “Maybelline” #2426) late yesterday afternoon.
Sierra’s original Muttville write up stated that she was such a dear, dear girl, and truly she never departed from that description. Sierra’s foster Mom and I have continued to stay in touch over the course of Sierra’s life with me, her foster Mom said it the best when I informed her of Sierra’s passing……
‘It took a village to save her – but it took you to provide her with what she needed most in her life.
What a sweetheart she was…’ I am honored and touched both by my dog and all of you!
I simply want to thank EVERYONE who played a part in this rescue starting the volunteers in Los Angeles County shelter for recognizing a true diamond of a dog, her pilot Bill with pilots ’n paws who brought her to safety, Muttville for overseeing the rescue, and Stephanie Meissner for providing the original foster home.
I saw all the goodness of Sierra in her stunningly beautiful face every single day, I will miss her terribly, but know that she was safe and happy with many wonderful adventures during her last 1 1/2 years with me.
