Spike

Spike

We wanted you to know we said goodbye to our sweet boy a couple of weeks ago. He was the toughest dog we’ve ever known and he tried to tough his way through old age (16!), arthritis and lymphoma but even Spikey couldn’t make that happen. He was also the sweetest dog we’ve ever known and we feel very fortunate that he graced our lives for 2 years. Spike taught us a lot about perseverance and unconditional love, immensely enjoying food and accepting any and all dog and human friends. Thank you to the kind person at the County of Santa Clara Animal Shelter for recognizing what a sweetheart he was and and Muttville for rescuing him so he could come live with us in Concord.

Original profile

Dear sweet Spike was surrendered due to his family moving. He lived his whole life outdoors, too, and Spike is one of the nicest and easiest dogs around. Soulful and gentle with his big brown eyes, he is very hard to resist.

Spike is great with all dogs and he is an easy keeper, though a cat-free environment is needed. We envision him in a nice warm environment where he can feel the joy of being part of a family that loves him. He is quiet and calm. Please open your heart to this wonderful senior fellow, he is about 12 years young and weighs about 45 pounds.
