You never know when you are going to fall in love! Thank you Tracey for loving Wembley and sharing your story:

Wembley 1859

After having had poodles my whole life, I thought I could never be interested in another breed of dog. Then along came Wembley! After a tiny poodle had been adopted underneath my nose from HQ, Kristin persuaded me to go to an adoption event at a horse show in Atherton to meet him. And honestly, I went reluctantly. But then I saw his big brown eyes, and his waif-thin frame, and when he crawled up on my lap, my heart melted into a puddle even though part of his fur was just plain missing. I signed those papers immediately & picked him up from his foster parents a week later. He’s had quite the ongoing medical journey, but nothing keeps him down for long. He is very gentle, and the happiest dog I have ever known.

His motto is, “why walk when I can run everywhere?!” It has taken almost two years for him to learn to trust enough to really relax and cuddle in my arms. Most people think he is a puppy, and are surprised when they learn he is a senior. He loves chicken, being in the garden, wearing cute sweaters when it’s cold enough (OK maybe he just tolerates that!) and going to work with me as a pseudo-therapy dog.

Thank you Kristin & Muttville! (And thanks to Jeremiah for the cute name—we kept it!)
