Maya (aka Latte)

With a little help from her mutt mom, Michele Maya sent us her lovely success story. Enjoy!

Maya (aka Latte)

On a warm Fall Day, back in October, I was sitting at Muttville waiting for yet another Adoption Day, where some of my friends would go to their forever homes and some of my pals would stay behind. What I did not know was that Michele and Jerry (my mom and dad) would be there soon. At first I was very scared, they could barely walk me around the block, my dad had to use canned chicken to entice me to keep moving forward on our walk.

Well, a lot as changed since then. Tonight, as I write my success story, I am getting ready to go to bed in a King Size Temperpedic, that I share with my Chihuahua sister, Chica, my mom and my dad. I am very sleepy after a day of going for my morning walk, playing in the backyard with my sister, taking naps on the leather sofa and watching TV with my family.

I love to run, play, sit on my mom’s and dad’s laps, cuddle- oh and I am not afraid of strangers. I even let them pet me when we go for walks. Thank you to all my friends at Muttville, the generous donors, and volunteers that took care of me until I went to my forever home.

With much gratitude~
