Today we said goodbye to an angel. Though Beowolf only came to Muttville earlier this week, he touched many hearts with his soulful and gentle countenance. A big dog with a huge spirit. We noticed when he arrived that his breathing was shallow and he seemed pretty tired and super skinny, so our vets ran many tests and while we waited for the results, he wolfed down lots of good food, leaned in for many hugs and gentle coos from all of us. It wasn’t the news we had hoped for, Beo had cancer and his lungs were filled with fluid. Our fab vet team pulled a pint of fluid from them, hoping to buy him some time but unfortunately they filled the next day…so today we decided to not let him suffer and we helped him pass over the bridge. Sail away Angel boy and I am sure you were greeted by many Muttville friends and are all off running in the green grass…

Beowolf is a big, handsome and regal senior who wants nothing more than to spend his retirement years snuggled up on a warm bed right next to his favorite person! He is an XL cuddle buddy that leans into you for pets and love. Believe it or not, but this gentle giant was found as a stray, poor boy. The perfect home for Beowolf would be able to get him back to a healthy weight and help boost his confidence around new people and places with some patience and affection.
Beowolf is still pending some medical tests, so he is not available for adoption at this time.
We think Beowolf is between 9-11 years young, weighing about 70 lbs.
