Six hours in, Pleats is a confident, curious girl who has demonstrated interest in brisk walks, butt scritches, belly rubs, baby talk, army crawls, and treats. I’m her new best friend but she’s not sure yet about my partner. She has not yet learned that he cooks dinner and can dispense meaty treats.
She was calm in the car on the way home and so far seems to understand house training. Pleats has demonstrated another favorite activity: burrowing under bedclothes and blankets. She is suspicious of strangers entering the home and will bark upon first acquaintance but once she knows people, she’s quiet and accepting.
