We are a senior dog rescue here at Muttville, but somehow we ended up with this Aye-Aye. Pretty sure lemurs aren’t legal pets in California but here we are. If you’ve always wanted a large-eyed, bat-eared primate, or ever considered going on a trip to Madagascar, Honeydew is the girl for you. Understandably, she gets cold here-so make sure you stock up on some tiny sweaters.
Oh Honeydew. So preciously tiny. So incredibly cute. Honeydew is a gorgeous little ball of anxiety so please be extra slow, gentle, and kind with her. She will be sure to tell you if she’s not in the mood for pets, and will also let you know when she is! It’s Honeydew’s world, and that’s cool. She is looking for a home that is willing to take things at her pace, and also have a sense of humor. Clearly this gal has had a tough past, and is so deserving of a loving new home. She’s looking for someone who is not in a rush to acclimate her to their routines, but one that is willing to modify theirs for her comfort.
Once she comes out of her shell she is pretty perfect, but she is looking for someone willing to wait patiently while she gets there. Honeydew does love other dogs, so if you have other pooches in your life then that seems to be a plus. Another doggo in the home might even help teach Honeydew that she is safe now, and everything is okay.

Honeydew is a sweet and gentle little girl who is looking for a quiet home to spend her golden years! She is a cuddle bug who loves to curl up on the couch and nap. She can get scared of loud noises so she would do best somewhere outside of the city where she can enjoy quiet walks and potty breaks.
She would love a quiet home setting where she can get soft pets and enjoy the easy life. Honeydew will do best in a home without young children as she sometimes gets startled if you come up to her too quickly, but older children may be ok. She is potty trained and will let out a couple of quiet whines when she needs to go out.
She was happy as a clam to sleep in bed with me and wonderfully slept through then night without making a peep! She gets along well with other small dogs who are calm and quiet as well. Honeydew is just as sweet as her namesake and she has so much love to give. She would be the perfect little companion!
