Normally, when someone jumps out and shouts “Boo!” during spooky season, the surprise may not always be wanted, but when the Boo in question is an adorable brown chihuahua, we think you’ll let it slide! This tiny boy has some of the teensiest teeth you’ve ever seen, protruding in a bit of an underbite that makes him look oh so slightly concerned. But he has nothing to worry about – Boo is the cutest, chocolatey chihuahua that you ever did see! He’s got pointy ears poised to suss out all the best Halloween treats and a nose that looks like a fun-sized Snickers atop a frosting covered snoot. If you want a mini-mutt who perfectly encapsulates the element of surprise, we have just one word for you – Boo!
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Loves people and is a wonderful lap dog. He really likes spending time with people – will read context cues that you’re about to relax in a chair and will get on his hind legs/tiptoes to get your attention and ask for laptime. You can see his body muscles immediately relax when he’s in your lap. Will greet you INCREDIBLY enthusiastically after you return home from work/errands (including friendly licking!)
He is incredibly calm indoors and will follow you from room to room, will not bark to get your attention. I like to keep dog beds in multiple rooms – it allows him to settle down and be near you if handling errands or doing work. He’s really great at managing his energy levels to match those of the people around him
Incredible appetite and eats very quickly, loves all treats. Licks his bowls 100% clean – I find that he eats pretty quickly and would benefit from eating out of a slow bowl.
Highly food-motivated but is quite calm around people who are eating. When I’m doing prep work in the kitchen, he has a cute/delightful habit of walking directly across your feet directly below you. He’ll step over both your feet – 1) just sending a signal that “he’s here, don’t forget to feed me too” and 2) hoping I am clumsy and drop a scrap of food on the floor and he can snap it up before I notice.
When outdoors, incredibly active for a senior mutt. Super curious on walks, motivated by the scents of other dogs. He has really good burst and can run/walk for an extended period and absolutely love to explore with great curiosity. Has ability to push off his hind legs with good strength!
Can easily do a single big step, but can’t do multiple steps.
