Hello Muttville,
Chill and affectionate Gus (fka Klamath) is adored and thriving, after joining our family three months ago.
When he arrived, Gus could (mostly) get himself where he wanted to go, but with a weakened hind end, had to work a bit harder. We elected to have his knees stabilized. A week after surgery, Gus’ mobility was noticeably improved. Now weeks into doggie PT (a game of “follow the peanut butter” from Gus’ perspective), Gus is trying out his new powers – flashing a big “Check. Me. Out!” smile over his shoulder while running across the yard.
Fast or slow, wobbly or sure-footed, Gus is a great companion. He’ll go anywhere with enthusiasm (“Dog stroller? Sure!” “Shopping? Why not!”), will seek affection from anyone in any circumstance (rolled upside down on the vet’s lap for mid-exam belly rub), and is just plain happy to be here (as demonstrated by little tippy taps and spins).
Thank you, Muttville, for the important work that you do, for getting Gus safely under the care of an amazing foster, and for making a better Love Connection than Chuck Woolery ever could.
With gratitude,
The Cupp-Sturtevant Family
