It’s been just over three weeks since we adopted Halloumi (fka Franz)! We are absolutely in love with him. Every day we discover more of his sweet, silly personality, and it’s been such a joy watching him settle into his new home and neighborhood.
Halloumi has quickly become the sweetest, cuddliest, and most handsome member of our household. We’re committed to making the rest of his golden years as happy and comfortable as possible.
In terms of progress, we’ve been working on his leash reactivity. He’s improved with people passing by or approaching him, though we’re still working on his reactions to other dogs. With lots of patience, love, and (of course) treats, he’s making strides. We’re also helping him through some car anxiety. Interestingly, he eagerly hops into the car, but becomes anxious once we start driving. We’re taking it slow and doing what we can to make it a more positive experience for him.
Health-wise, he’s seen the vet, is eating well, and has been great with bath time. And we’re happy to report- no potty accidents so far!
Thank you so much for bringing Halloumi into our lives. We love him so much!
