Shana (fka Bisou)

My sister Debi Stein has connections to Muttville, and found Shana (fka Bisou my mom. Previously, it had taken my mom a few years to recover from the loss of Princess-her first Muttville rescue-who had died from cancer.

Shana (fka Bisou)

I picked Shana up from my sister in Sausalito to fly her to Florida. It was love at first sight for Shana and my mom. They lived a quiet life for two or so years until my mom had a very bad fall and could no longer care for her.

This is where I entered the picture. Already with two dogs, and active ones at that, I took Shana with trepidation. The good thing is they all looked alike! The bad thing, she was an only dog.

I brought her back to San Diego and literally put the three of them together because I work. Let me tell you, Shana loved the company. No barking or crying (which she always did when my mom left her) and she was very happy.

This dog (whatever age she is) can run on the beach for two miles, cuddle, walk on a double leash with her sister and brother in tow, and eat like a little piggy. She has a little heart murmur that is monitored regularly and recently had all her teeth removed. She is still gnawing her greenie bites. She has an enormous personality for a six-pound dog and everyone in my neighborhood knows Shana.

This little Maltese loves her life in San Diego, and I am convinced I will always have a Maltese from now on! In one of the photos, you will see her (she it the tiny one!) with her brother Shiloh and sister Cali.

Thank you, Muttville!
