Oolong (aka Gayle)

Dear Muttville,

I saw Oolong (formerly named Gayle) on the Muttville website, thought she was cute, and went to see her the following weekend. When I arrived at Muttville she was coincidentally the first dog that approached me. I took that as a serendipitous sign and adopted her that very day, September 15, 2019. She was categorized as a hospice dog (she was 13 at the time and has kidney failure) and I was told that she may only live 3-6 months. Well it brings me great joy to share that we just celebrated her 1 year adoption anniversary and her 14th birthday! She is typically on a strict diet due to her kidney failure, but for her special day we decided to spoil her with steak and a puppuccino!

Oolong (aka Gayle)

When I first brought Oolong home she was very timid, barely wagged her tail, and followed me everywhere…even to the toilet. Now she is the happiest, sassiest, and most carefree dog. She wags her tail everyday, is always in the kitchen begging for treats, and loves to go for walks (for a little old lady she sure is fast)! She has somehow managed to take up my entire bed with her little body, likes to rub her face on everything, and is my number one copilot!

A year with her has flown by and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching her blossom. She has plenty of dog friends and a lot of people that love her, and we hope to spend many more years with our little old Oolong! Thank you Muttville, for giving dogs like Oolong a second chance and thank you for blessing me with my best friend.

Sincerely,

Oolong’s Mommy – Journee
