Puffin

Puffin

Hi,

Last January, we adopted our amazing Puffin from your organization. Unfortunately, we recently lost our baby. She was the best thing that has ever happened to us and we wanted to say thank you so much.

One of my favorite things about Puffin was the way that she would play, so I’d like to share a story about that.

Puffin was very energetic for her age. She loved to play a game that is really similar to the human game tag. She would run across the hallway in the house and then wait at the wall barking until someone would come touch her butt. Yes, it had to be her butt. Not her head, or her feet, her butt. This earned her the very fitting nickname of grumble butt. After you touched her butt she would turn around and run the other direction, usually following you, and then running into you when you reached the other end of the hall. Then she would turn around again and run the other way, expecting you to follow her and touch her butt at the end of the hallway. She was never very fond of toys, we think because she couldn’t hear the squeakers (she was deaf since we got her), but she loved to play in her own way. And whenever she wanted to play, you would hear her start barking from whatever wall she was waiting by in the house. Sometimes, we would even come home to the sound of her barking from somewhere, waiting for one of her moms to come find her. We miss the sound of her bark as well as her cuddles and her habit of throwing her food out of the bowl every day, but we are so happy we got to spend Puffin’s last year spoiling her.

Thank you Muttville for saving her,

Love Madison and Robyn
