Deacon came into my life on June 23, 2019. He was 13 years old and I was 73 years old. He needed to be carried up and down stairs and seldom moved faster than a quick walk. In the past 5-1/2 months, he has decided that he prefers to use the stairs instead the access ramp leading into the back yard and on perfect cool weather days he loves to walk and we are up to as much as a half mile occasionally. His best friend is a three year old terrier mix rescue that lives with my daughter. Such excitement from my boy when Reed is around. Their happiest days together are spent in my daughters 1/4 acre back yard, being free to roam and explore.
It suddenly occurred to me this last week that Deacon seems to be getting younger. Today I realized that I am too! Deacon is about 9 now. Me? 69 headed toward 65.
Thanks Muttville for giving my boy and I the opportunity to get back to our youthful ways.
