It is with profound sadness that I tell you, Sheldon passed away in my arms on Tuesday. He was very brave, and I think was very ready to go.
Before he woke up for the day, he was dreaming hard. Reflecting on that, I believe that he was already playing – using his legs with abandon and being free of the pain he had dealt with for who knows how long.
Sheldon was a trooper, and he never complained. Even though I only got to care for him a short time, he was loved and doted upon, and we miss him tremendously. He was very special, and he taught me some very valuable life lessons.
Thank you, Muttville, for saving dear Sheldon, and for giving me the honor of caring for him.
Rest and play in peace, lil Bugs. You’re free now.

Sheldon is simply wonderful!
Sheldon is so very special and that’s exactly what we love him for. This small-medium sized guy has been through so much and deserves a super-sized portion of love! Sheldon is really friendly and is so ready for his own home with his own people to cuddle and love day in and day out. He’s good with people, other doggies, and an all-around mellow fellow… and you don’t need to be a brilliant theoretical physicist to appreciate Sheldon’s magnetic personality and feel his natural attraction. Unlike the eccentric TV character who shares his name, our Sheldon is a friendly and social guy who loves to be around all the action. He’ll be your best bud and enjoy hanging out no matter what you like to do – playing video games, reading comic books, eating take out…you name it, he’ll be there for you!
