Lucy was my first dog; her adoption was the very first thing my wife and I did when we moved into a house with a yard. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect dog, a sentiment I’m sure all Muttville parents know. Lucy was loving, friendly, loyal, and in all ways the best dog I’ve ever known. She lived for 8 years with us and I am grateful for every day. She loved walks, being a 40 lb lap dog, and never leaving her mom’s side. We helped her across the rainbow bridge July 11th, a decision that we agonized over but in the end was the last thing we were able to do for a dog that gave us so much. There isn’t a day that I don’t think of her. Thank you so much to Sherri and all the Muttville staff who help save older dogs.
