Pam gave an amazing life to brothers, Blaze and Max. She shares with us their story:
Just wanted to share with you that we lost our Muttville dog, Max, early September. It was truly a sad day at our house.
We adopted him from Muttville, along with his brother Blaze, back in the fall of 2013. You probably remember that we lost his brother, Blaze, soon after but Max was a trooper and hung in for nearly three years despite several surgeries and illnesses.
Max was really one in a million. He was so loving and affectionate to us and to his adopted sister, Sasha, as well as to all of our cats and virtually everyone he met. BJ (my husband) was his special buddy and he followed him all around the house and everywhere he went. Max’s tail never stopped wagging and, until the last week or two, he was always ready to go for a walk with a toy in his mouth.
We have so many good memories of Max, but three years was not long enough. In the end he succumbed to bone cancer. He was euthanized in our backyard on Thursday am with all of the animals around and BJ holding him. We will all miss him greatly.
Thank you for rescuing Max and Blaze from the shelter. We truly feel we were lucky to have them both in our lives.
