Goofy Betty (formerly Jasmine) makes friends wherever she goes, and we were overjoyed when Erfert welcomed Betty into her amazing family, home and community filled with many two and four legged friends:
Betty came to me as a fospice dog, with inoperable skin cancer on her belly and a cone around her neck to keep her from licking the irritated area. Betty and I agreed right off the bat to ditch the cone in favor of an active lifestyle that didn’t give her much time for licking.
I live at a boarding stable with 70 horses, 8 cats, 3 goats, and 10 chickens, and Betty is now the beloved mascot here. She greets everyone, human or canine, with glee, and is quite popular with the boarders. She keeps the raccoons out of my house and protects the chickens from the neighborhood bobcat. She loves her job! Yes, she still has skin cancer, but she has a great day every day.
Thanks, Muttville, for giving me the opportunity to care for this extraordinary dog.
