Shelly was a lucky girl, we saw her listed at a shelter in Los Angeles and we happened to know of a woman that wanted a chow chow, so we rescued her!
Susan, her mom, loved her every minute she had her, for 4 months, the love affair lasted.
Shelly died today from progressive lymphoma. Sail away, sweet girl
This comes from Shelley’s rescuer in Los Angeles:
Susan, my deepest condolences. Thank you for having the kind of heart that would take on an old beat up thrown away Chow sight unseen: you are such a special human being and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing this dog’s lonely fate. You gave Shelly what was probably the best time of her life and I know she must have loved you very much. May she look over you and protect you forever. I am eternally grateful that I share the world with people like you.
-Chela
p.s. I want to include Jane because she found this special girl, and Andrea, a tireless shelter volunteer who also knew Shelly, and Sherri, for helping us find you. Thank you doesn’t even begin to express what I feel.
