Meet Zelda, a tiny princess with elf ears. She uses her magic to protect laps from being empty or cold. If you take a seat, Zelda will immediacy zip over to occupy your lap and keep it warm and full of love. Despite being royalty, all Zelda really wants is head scritches and a safe place for a nap.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Zelda is a very happy, dainty, and polite lady! She loves being close and cuddling with people and really enjoys head scratches. She does well on walks and has the cutest little trot. She likes to stare at us with her beautiful brown puppy eyes and loves when we talk to her. Her tail won’t stop wagging! She loves to give little kisses and appreciates gentle affection.

Zelda responds well to praise and is very food motivated so she could really enjoy training. She is a bit hesitant with steps, but seems like she may just not be familiar with them. She takes her medication very well and has a good appetite. She has been going potty on a grass pad in an enclosed outdoor space. She hasn’t gone potty on leash yet, despite taking her on several walks a day.

She gets along well with our dog and seems like she could get along well with any calm dog, cat or human. She is a little nervous about bigger, younger dogs if they give off playful energy. She seems to have a playful side that is slowly coming out, and she might enjoy playing with another small dog.

She sometimes needs a boost to get up on the couch and bed, so little stairs might be a good idea for her once she understands stairs in general a bit better. She doesn’t mind being picked up, but she definitely likes being an independent lady. Her energy level is very impressive and we love seeing her little personality come out!

Update:

I’ve had Zelda for about a week now, and she is a real sweetheart. She can negotiate stairs easily. She has had no potty accidents at all. She is a sweet little charmer who loves her doggie massages and backscratches. Her little tail wags when she gets excited. Zelda can be independent and loves lounging in the sun or chilling on the sofa. She is a little shy at first but gets along well with people and other dogs.
