“I think I’ll have only one potato,” said no one ever! Potatoes are best in pairs and so are these two adorable and super bonded little spuds! Bert goes with Ernie, peanut butter goes with jelly (unless you’re Elvis), and Yukon goes with Russet.
When no one is watching, Yukon loves to look adoringly at Russet and quote the movie line from Forrest Gump (their favorite film), “Me and Jenny goes together like peas and carrots.” Russet always responds, “Oh, Yukon,” but secretly loves sweet this little tradition.
Not only do these two love each other completely, they love everyone else, too! One of Yukon’s New Year’s resolutions was to get back in shape, and while she has decided (like most of us) that she prefers food over exercise, she is still dedicated to losing a few pounds. She knows this means watching a little less Forrest and getting in a little more park time! Now don’t be fooled. Just because Russet is hard of seeing doesn’t mean a thing. He is always on the move and acts as his sister’s motivational coach when she doesn’t want to move her body. He can often be heard yelling “Run, Yukon, run (gotta love another Forrest Gump reference)!”
These two taters are looking to love and be loved unconditionally and anyone that chooses to be their companion is in for an abundance of joy, love and laughter! Oh, and maybe a little Forrest Gump!
Yukon is estimated to be 10 years young and weighs 7 lbs.
Russet is estimated to be 11 years old and weighs 6 lbs.

“These two are actually really easy — both are well potty trained and very quiet. They are SUPER affectionate and bond fast — they were cuddly and comfortable with us in about 4 hours from bringing them home. Russet is vision impaired but is very good at getting around on his own. Because he likes to explore, we feel he’ll do best in a home with no stairs or steps. They eat and drink without issue and love each other so much. They are quiet and just the best snuggle bugs!”
