At last! An answer to the timeless riddle: Which is cuter, a pug or a chi? Yellow Bird, a velvety love crumpet of supreme beauty, has the answer: Both. A wee chug blessed with the best of both breeds, she has a button nose, soulful eyes, a couple of dewlaps and dainty little feets. She can be timid at first, but the timing usually works out fine. As soon you adjust to her cuteness, she’s moving in for some gentle pets. She’s also good with other dogs, walkies and the stairs. Is this your bestie-in-waiting or a furry self-help tool? Again, the answer is: Both.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
This little angel is the definition of a velcro dog – her biggest passion is simply being as close to her humans as physically possible. She doesn’t enjoy cold hard floors and prefers to rest on couches or rugs (preferably next to you). She loves crawling into laps if you are on the floor and if you accidentally fall asleep on the couch, you will find her laying on you when you wake up!
She’s still quite shy and seems a bit melancholy while she heals, but her sweetness radiates through everything she does. The way she gently nudges her head under your hand for pets will absolutely melt your heart.
Right now, she’s not particularly interested in treats or toys – she’s much more focused on the comfort of human companionship. Her appetite is okay though sometimes she leaves a bit of food behind (potentially just feeling under the weather still). She enjoys gentle walks but tires easily as she continues recovering, and she’s been very quiet – not a single bark so far.
Car rides are manageable for her, though she does get a little nervous with some slight trembling. Overall, she’s just the most loving, peaceful little soul who would thrive with someone looking for the ultimate cuddle companion.
She’s going to make someone an absolutely wonderful lap dog once she’s feeling 100% again!
