If you happen to stop by Muttville and see a peppy poodle mix, you might feel like you’re the winner even though it’s his name! This 12-year-old mutt has a winning attitude and knows he’s quite the prize, but he’s willing to share the crown with a fellow winner. We don’t know what category he competed in, so his forever family will have to determine: did he sing? Interpretive dance? Mime? Ribbon dance? You’ll have to let us know, because we’re sure it was phenomenal for him to be dubbed the Winner. Winner is a sweet boy, he can be a little shy and hide a bit at first (although he’s happy to take the stage to accept his crown, he’s more of a stage crew kind of dog day to day), but when he comes out of his shell, he’s perfectly willing to approach humans for cuddles or other dogs to play a bit. Winner’s luscious locks are silky smooth, so he’s perfect to settle on with the couch, but he’s also a zippy little senior who enjoys a short daily constitutional. We know that Winner is going to make someone feel like they’ve gotten the grand prize – could it be you?

Here’s some notes from his foster:

This little guy is 10 lbs. of pure joy. They don’t come more adorable than this happy-go-lucky fella. He wakes up wagging his tail and wiggling his cute little behind-ready to take on the day’s adventures.

In the time he has been with me, I have yet to hear him bark. He squeals a bit when he sees his new friends. human and canine. His social butterfly nature is emerging as he has become more secure. He seems to really enjoy the company of my senior dog, especially on walks. Mortimer has been showing him all the best pee-mail sites in the neighborhood.

Walks are his favorite activity of the day. He dashes out of the door and is thrilled to go out to explore new places. He has a funny little skip that he does and he likes to pop his head into shops to say hi to folks. He is great on leash. Winner has plenty of pep. He can walk for blocks and can handle stairs with ease.

He is an excellent passenger in the car while we run errands. He is potty trained and good at letting me know when he needs to go out. I have left him for a few hours at a time in the company of my dog. He has shown no problems whatsoever.

He is very sweet, quite social and affectionate. He spends time with my friends and their dogs almost every morning and seems to really enjoy himself. He welcomes attention from everyone he meets. I find him to be an absolute delight.

The real winner will be the forever companion to this sweet boy. He is the perfect little package of puppy love.
