Meet Wiggy! This adorable pup comes to us from Contra Costa County, where he was found as an injured stray.
Wiggy was in very rough shape when he was found, and had to go in for emergency surgery to remove his eye and shave down his badly matted coat. Now, he’s feeling like a brand new dog and is happy as can be! Wiggy is clearly very grateful, and is enjoying all the new love and attention he’s been getting. Understandably, he is still getting used to his new surroundings, but has already shown himself to be very sweet and loving. As he continues to blossom he will come out of his shell more and more! All he needs now is a loving place to call home.
Wiggy is 9 years young and weighs 9 pounds.

Wiggy is a bubbly, happy guy! All you have to do is look at him & his tail starts wagging, and he comes running and grinning the moment you call his name. He is very much a people dog; he gets along with all our pets beautifully as well. When you enter a room after two minutes’ absence, he greets you like you’ve been gone all day. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch & flips over to maximize potential belly rubs. He is loving, fun & goofy! Wiggy is spry for an eight-year-old man! He loves to strut around the neighborhood & can keep up a pretty impressive pace. He’s great with both of our dogs. He mostly ignores the cat & handles it well when (as happens with kittens) he is made the object of some kind of silly & annoying cat-mischief. We have yet to see any Wiggy fears. He seems comfortable and confident wherever he goes. We are polishing up on his house-training skills. He loves mealtimes…his and yours! Whenever I am in the kitchen, he is there supervising. His favorite nap spot is the crook of your arm. He’ll plop himself down, flip over, and top it off with a huge, dramatic sigh! He is also a very good traveler. He was utterly relaxed in the car when we brought him home, and he has taken BART (in a carrier) several times now. He may be San Francisco’s cutest and most satisfied BART customer! He’s really a gem! He will make his new family very, very happy!
