If a family of mischievous, intellectual mice were having problems, Wendy would definitely be their therapist. Look at that patient face. The big brown eyes that see right into your soul. The soft, floppy ears that listen so impartially. But when office hours are over, Wendy’s just like any other sweet, friendly, very good girl. She loves taking long walks, getting attention, and achieving congruence by enmeshing herself in your loving arms.
Here’s some notes from her foster:
Wendy is a very sweet, quiet dog. She loves chilling on the couch with some blankets and snuggles, and won’t pester you for playtime or fetch. She loves pets and kisses, but also needs her own personal space sometimes. She’ll be glad to watch a movie with you while wrapping herself up in blankets. She also loves going for walks and socializing even if her favorite activity is naps. Wendy will always be glad to talk with the other dogs and go for some hikes or strolls while stopping to sniff the flowers. She isn’t big on parties, but play dates will be sure to please her. She’s a shy but kind dog, and took a few days to warm up to us and our dog. Once warmed up though, she’s very loyal.
Walks: Definitely! Especially long ones.
Sleep: Sleeps through the night and doesn’t whine when she’s alone in the morning.
Separation: No signs of separation anxiety.
Training: Goes to the bathroom on grass, and knows to walk and stop with leashes. Isn’t reactive during walks to dogs or people.
