If you look up a hangdog expression in the dictionary, you’ll probably see a picture of our majestic Walrus, who, despite his perpetual puppy dog eyes and seemingly sad expression, is a fairly happy chap. Walrus is a mellow mutt who really is enjoying himself, we swear. Named after a morose sea mammal, Walrus is perpetually laughing at his own little inside joke – in fact, when you see the tiniest peek of his pink tongue, that’s comparable to someone rolling on the floor laughing! If you are looking for a mutt who is REALLY good at hiding his jubilation, Walrus is the solemn little senior for you!

Here’s some notes from his foster:

He might be hospice, but you wouldn’t know it meeting Walrus! He is a force! This guy is strong with a phenomenal appetite, good vision, and decent energy. Don’t mind his funny gait because it doesn’t stop his love for walkies, getting on and off the couch, and even negotiating stairs. He wants nothing more than to be next to his human eating all the snacks and relishing the snuggles.

This dude is a pro at car rides, getting along with his foster sibling, and even being left home when his human goes to work! Lucky for you and Walrus, he doesn’t require too much warm up and this easy going buddy will immediately make himself at home, happily rolling around on his back after meals and sleeping belly up! Does this smooshface snore? Why of course he does! Will his “sad” pug eyes bamboozle you into giving him a million treats? Come see for yourself! Is he perfect? Obviously! Walrus is ready and waiting for you!
