This tiny old man is excited to spend his cushy retirement life with a special someone. Wallace has been collecting social security since before you were born, and remembers WWII because he was there. He loves to snuggle, and promises to exchange lap warming for snacks.
Here’s some notes from his foster:
Overall Wallace is chill as can be, gentle, and has a great temperament. He has been described as the “calmest little dog ever.”
Wallace is extremely well-trained, he goes outside even though it’s hard to get him out/know when he needs to go because he never wants to leave his pile of blankets or the sliver of sunshine. He is really easy with the meds, great about taking them in some cream cheese or on top of a treat. He’s a good eater, eats both meals, albeit not at all ravenous; never aggressive, super gentle.
He has the most perfect level of energy, medium i’d say! He’s goofy but very calm… loves to bury himself in blankets, wanders around a lot, curious, gets zoomies a couple times a day. When left
alone: he seems good, like he just stays in 1 spots and sleeps deeply, seems very calm when i return; I work from home, so longest alone time so far was ~ 3 hours
So far he has only seen dogs (on the street), seems fine with them (no barking, not aggressive nor scared) but also not very interested by them – indifferent to other dogs. Wallace is a a bit sensitive to loud noises (like if something falls down) and quick movements.
He absolutely loves being nestled deep into blankets, and generally anything soft and plush, loves sitting in the sun, likes chicken & cheese. His not so favorite things are, getting picked up out of his slumber to put on his harness & go out for a walk; being on the floor; sleeping without being covered up [i think he’d like a crate full of pillows].
Wallace is a very easy and laid back guy to care for and we are enjoying every minute that we get to spend with him.
