Vida, an athletic rat terrier with a few speckles and plenty of zip, says yes. Yes to kids, adventures, grownups, hikes, bunnies, picnics, stairs and expeditions of all kinds. Is she house trained? Affirmative. She’s also sweet, calm and easygoing — just as fond of snuggles and a snooze as you are. Looking for a positivity support dog with cute ears and no time for haters? She’s standing by.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

Live the sweet life with Vida! She’s adorable, preppy, affectionate, and ready to be adored in her next chapter. Run, don’t walk, to adopt this absolute sweetheart. Vida is truly so sweet – she greets you and visitors enthusiastically, loves snuggling up next to you on a couch, and gets playful little zoomies. If you give her a kiss on the foreheads or make a kissy face she even kisses you back!

She’s got a good appetite – loving breakfast, dinner, and treats in between. She loves to pay very close attention to you while you’re eating, but can also keep a respectful distance if you’re not looking for vacuum pup :) Vida is great on walks – she’s easy to walk, doesn’t pull, and gets excited whenever it’s time to go out! She startles a little with a skateboard or a motorcycling upstarting, but gets right back to her walk. She’d be a great walking companion and would love a couple good walks each day.

She’s does her business outside fairly promptly when she goes out. She can use a yard or a walk for bathroom breaks. Vida does fantastically with other dogs – I’ve seen her interact with large and small, including out resident 70lb pup. No signs of resource guarding with food, toys, laps, or humans! Go, Vida! I’ve heard she’s good with cats and bunnies but haven’t tested it myself. She does like to chase after birds and flies (it’s adorable). I also saw her cuddling with kids at HQ – she loved the affection!

We love watching Vida sniff and explore – she’s a curious gal finding every corner of the house! She loves to follow you around and see where you’re going, but also will independently explore the house. Her favorite nap spot right now is a blanket basket she’s made her own. Vida barks to alert us to the doorbell, or if she thinks someone is loudly talking right outside our window, but otherwise is largely silent all day.

Nothing but great things to say about Vida – she joined our home seamlessly, adds joy to the day, and has just been the easiest, sweetest, houseguest!
