Vernon is a gentleman who has seen his share of life. At a respectable ten years old, he’s a chi who’s more about that couch life than the rough and tumble of the streets – but it wasn’t always that way, and he’s full to the brim with tall tales of his wild youth. The only thing missing? A listening ear (and a willing lap). If you’re ready to hear about the time when Vernon met a really courageous pigeon in a park, come to the shelter and say hi today! We promise he’s an amazing storyteller.

Here’s some notes from his foster:

Meet Vernon! He’s a mostly mellow guy who’s content to rest or snooze in his bed, but he’s happy to cuddle with you as well. He’s an especially great assistant when it comes to laundry, and when you’re ready to fold, he’ll find the best pile to curl up in to help you realize that you don’t actually need to fold that laundry right now.

Vernon has limited mobility but is always happy to get outside for a few sniffs throughout the day. Sometimes he’ll tolerate me pushing him to the park in his stroller, and seems to think that it was worth the trip once we get there. He’s on a great potty training routine. He won’t let you know that he needs to go out, but knows what to do when you take him out every few hours.
