✨Help loving senior dog live the rest of his life peacefully! (Not mine, but was a close family member’s. I’d take him but I have a dog & 2 cats & live with other people.)
Vader & his sister Balu lost the only home they’ve ever known as seniors, after living mostly in their kennels for the last 3 yrs. On 5/19/25, Vader lost his beloved sister too. Due to a tumor in her spleen we couldn’t remove in time, Balu crossed the bridge peacefully with her foster mom & human aunts by her side cuddling her. Vader’s adjusting, but misses his sister. I know she’s watching over her brother & wants him to find a home that’ll give him the best senior yearsAdopted as puppies by previous owner, who acknowledged they weren’t providing the dogs a comfortable existence. And felt they didn’t have the space, time/ $ for them anymore. Were going to have a mobile vet euthanize them since they thought they couldn’t surrender/ find homes.But my sister offered to foster them in Sacramento, giving them a chance at a comfortable life! Now Vader must find a furever home at this stage in his life amidst a crisis of too many dogs needing homes. Fosters have pets of their own & a*baby on the way in A FEW MONTHS*now, so he’s in URGENT NEED of a loving furever home!Vader: male
Breed- black lab/Rottweiler mix
Age- 9 yrs
Weight- 100lbs
•Neutered, vaccinated, chipped, potty trained
•Energetic big goofy boy, loves being walked & receiving affection!
Grew up with 2 young kids (now 4), loves his kiddos & NEVER shown any aggression to ANY humans whatsoever, very sweet with ppl, even strangers
IDEAL HOME: No other pets/livestock.
-can give lots of attention for a safe & comfortable transition to new home
-can provide financial support
-can handle big dog who can jump/ pull on walks
-has secure fenced in yard
(We’ll send kennel & all supplies w him!)
Known him since he was a puppy. He’s a good companion w/ so much love for ppl & deserves to be loved in return!!
