Uncle Buck is the carefree bachelor you’ve been waiting for. He is a handsome pit bull who is super sweet with all people and other dogs. He sometimes communicates via howl which makes Muttville staff think he is destined for youtube. Uncle Buck would love to get lots of time outdoors but also appreciates a nice long nap on the couch. If you’ve been scrolling through tons of chihuahuas looking for a sweet larger dog, come meet Uncle Buck. After all, he’s family.
Uncle Buck is estimated to be 10 years young and weighs 60 lbs.

Uncle Buck is the absolute sweetest. He really wants to snuggle up to you when you’re on the couch (or in bed). I think he has the ostrich complex – he sticks his head under your arm so his whole face is buried & squished, which I think he thinks means his whole body is being covered. Seriously so snuggly & such a love & great boy. He definitely enjoys going on a walk but he’s not going to run a marathon any time soon. He seems a bit stiff after he gets up from laying down for awhile but once he gets moving he likes to take a little saunter & smell all the smells in the neighborhood. He seems fine with other dogs! We didn’t encounter any non-dog animals together though. He always wanted to know where I was – if I went in another room, he would come check to make sure I hadn’t left him, go back to the couch, come back & check on me & so on & so forth. I would guess that once he gets settled into a long term home that will probably subside but for now that’s his major concern. I think he is probably ok with house-training, but we did have two accidents (luckily both on a blanket so relatively easy clean up) – once on the bed & once in the car, which were both new to me. We did lots of walks outside & he only pooped outside once. No pee accidents inside. He is just so sweet. He wants to wedge his whole face & head into your arm or against your body. We made a stop at pet food express after I learned that he is OBSESSED with balls (or anything that looks like a ball!) when we were at my office (he was very upset he couldn’t have the two Kevin Durant signed basketballs). He immediately picked up a tennis ball, but as soon as we walked by the rawhide baskets his attention turned completely. He picked a rawhide & was a happy camper for the rest of the evening. I also got some freeze dried beef liver treats that he looooooved. He definitely likes to take naps on the couch :) overall I would just say he is a gentle giant & I hope he finds his forever home so, so soon!
