Chihuahua, Short Coat
Female
4 lbs (toy)
Status: Adopted

Tzatziki, a delicately gorgeous senior chi, can be easily mistaken for an enchanted forest nymph nesting incongruously in a Muttville dog bed. A scant 4.4 pounds, with big round eyes and high-rise ears, she has an otherworldly serenity that resonates deeply with dogs and people who treat her with the kindness she deserves. Warming up in a safe place at last, she has been happy to curl up in a lap or next to a pup, and will lean into tiny pets on her teensy noggin. As expected, she gives as much tenderness as she gets. Were you to find a nook in your heart for this lovely girl, she will likely fill it with light and magic. A fair trade by any measure.

Here’s some notes from her foster:

I couldn’t be happier with Tzatziki! She is such a little sweetheart, from the moment she was handed to me at Muttville, she’s been a consummate cuddler, sitting in my lap for the drive home and rarely straying far from me or my boyfriend. She follows me like a little shadow, and it’s not uncommon when I come home from work or an errand to the skittering of little paws and then I’ll feel her tiny tail thwacking me in the ankles.

She seems to be adjusting well, her tail wags happily several times a day, and she has been fine with my two other dogs, who are not huge, but bigger than her. Tzatziki has been fine with handling and snuggles into your chest when being picked up, and she sleeps through the night, often under the blankets. She’s a cuddly girl in general, often snuggling into the couch, bed, or one of our dog beds. She also tolerates her medication very well in the mornings (one is a liquid and one is a pill she takes with a bit of peanut butter). She is very fond of the cheese I use as a treat, and she also eats her food and the dry food I feed my dogs pretty well. She’s also an amazing walker for a 16-year-old (or any dog, really) – she seems very used to a leash and is peppy and walks with a jaunty tail wag.
