Miss Twister wants to give you all her love!
Twister just wants to be loved! Though sometimes it takes a few moments for her to trust, after you win her heart there is no looking back. She does prefer women to men and will blossom in a calm environment! This girl loves standing on her back legs to greet you with her tail wagging the whole time! After a minute, she’ll quickly settle down for cuddles and pets. She’s not the most well-traveled pup, so in situations she’s uncertain about she’ll stick by her person until she feels comfortable. She’s very polite on a leash, and will happily tag along with you on whatever adventure you’d like – whether it’s Fort Funston or Muir Woods. Bring this fantastic travel partner into your life today! Oh and did I tell you she is great with other calm dogs, too!
Twister is estimated to be 7 years old and weighs 14 pounds.

I’m Twister’s foster mom! I’ve had her for one month. Most important first, Twister suffers from serious blood sugar levels due to stress, so she is on medication until she settles into her forever home. That being said, she’s settling in beautifully with me, however, I do believe she will always be the shy, scared type because she’s clearly suffered trauma in her life. She needs a quiet, calm environment. She is good with other dogs that are calm, and ideally older. If you’re ok with what you’ve heard so far, keep reading!
She’s a quiet (she hasn’t barked once), cuddly, people dog. She loves to lounge all day; different than what you think of a Jack Russel, but very much like a whippet, which I’m pretty sure she has in her as well. She sticks to her person like glue, and snuggles close and near your face at night. She’s a good eater and loves snacks!
Twister has two foster sisters (small dogs) around her age that she hangs around with. She watched her foster sisters and knows how to use the doggy stairs and was automatically potty trained with zero work on my part. She’s a really sharp girl! in here amazingly! Her teeth and eyes are in good health and she’s in good shape! Notably, we have not gone on any walks because I live in a pretty hectic part of SF. I think she’d appreciate a walk (if you want to take her on one) where it’s quiet, calm, routine and she knows the people and dogs she’s coming across. She doesn’t need to go on walks though; she doesn’t seem to miss them. She prefers to hang out with me!
